Children's Department News: 

Stop in and check out all the great upcoming events at the Willard Memorial Library's Children's Department!  Stop in and check out the new Wii! Play and have a great time in the Children's Department. Sign up required.

Schools in our Service Area:

  • Willard City Schools, St. Francis Xavier School, and Celeryville Christian School are served by the Main Library.
  • South Central Local Schools are served by the Greenwich and North Fairfield branches.
  • Western Reserve Schools are served by the Wakeman branch.

Programs and Services:

  • Preschool Storytimes are planned for children ages 3 to kindergarten at the main and the branch libraries.  Contact the individual libraries for days and times.
  • The Library staff welcomes scheduled classroom visits.
    Summer Reading Program is a theme related program to encourage children to spread during the summer.
    Contact the individual libraries in May for days and times.
  • As a service to teachers, the library will provide reserved collections and will accept required study lists in advance of assignments being given to elementary and secondary students. Local teachers may get a special library card at the main library that allows for an extended loan period on books. You may also click here to get a special form to send book reservations to the library to reserve books for students.

Collections:

  • Books - Board and picture books, "I-Can-Read books, and juvenile fiction and non-fiction.
  • Book/Tape Kits and audio books.
  • Musical recordings, filmstrip/tape kits and videotapes.
  • Magazines and comic books.
  • Teacher Collection (Willard)
    A special collection to give teachers ideas to use in the classroom.
