This is the original Chicago Junction,
Ohio, (Willard) Central High School, built in 1888. For an

This is a later photo of Central School. Comparing
the earlier photo to the left, note that the chimneys are gone. In
1896
lightning
struck
and
the
ensuing
fire
gutted the building.
It
was
rebuilt
without
the
original
bell
tower.
This
photo has the tower, so it was
taken
before
1896. |

stage,
such
as a
recitation,
sing
a

a
speech,
etc.
With
additional
outside
entertainment,
it
required
two
full
evenings
to
complete
the
graduation. |
